1. Who We Are

DENU is an independent project launched in winter 2020 by a small team (Sepand Haghighi, Siavash Mehrabi, and Erfan Jazeb Nikoo). We are not a large company. The platform is kept 100% free for everyone thanks to community donations. Our operations are based in the Netherlands.

2. Description of the Service

DENU provides a free web-based tool for business owners to create digital menus. Customers can view these menus by scanning a QR code, opening a direct link, or using our Telegram bot. No mobile app installation is required for customers. The Service is provided “as is” and is completely free of charge for both business owners and customers.

3. User Accounts and Registration

Only business owners need an account. Registration is done via mobile phone number and SMS verification. Each account may manage 1 free business with up to 50 tables/QR codes. You are responsible for keeping your account credentials secure and for all activity that occurs under your account.

4. Business Owner Responsibilities

• You must provide accurate and truthful information about your business and menu items.
• You are solely responsible for the content you upload (text, photos, prices, descriptions).
• You agree not to upload illegal, infringing, harmful, or offensive content.
• You grant DENU a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, display, and distribute your menu content as part of the Service.

5. Customer Use

Customers do not need an account. They may view menus anonymously by scanning a QR code or opening a shared link. Customers agree to use the Service only for its intended purpose and not to attempt to scrape, copy, or misuse menu data.

6. Prohibited Conduct

You may not:

• Use the Service for any illegal purpose
• Upload viruses, malware, or harmful code
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any part of the Service
• Interfere with the proper functioning of the Service
• Impersonate any person or entity

7. Intellectual Property

All content you upload remains your property. DENU owns the platform, design, logos, and all underlying software. You may not copy, modify, or distribute any part of the DENU platform itself without our written permission.

8. Termination and Suspension

We may suspend or terminate your account at any time if you violate these Terms or for any other reason. You may delete your account at any time through the dashboard. Upon termination, your menus and QR codes will no longer be accessible.

9. Disclaimers and Limitation of Liability

The Service is provided “AS IS” and “AS AVAILABLE” without any warranties. DENU is not responsible for the accuracy of your menu content or any issues that arise from customers using your QR codes. In no event shall DENU or its team be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages.

10. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will post the revised version on this page with a new effective date. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.

11. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Netherlands. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of the Netherlands.
